Sharing your experiences

One aspect of student voice is having the opportunity to provide feedback on the learinng and teaching you experience. The University does this in a number of ways. Some examples of those are listed below. These ways of feeding back often include opportunities to let the University know about wider issues outwith the School’s control such as teaching accommodation, timetabling, buildings and accessibility.

  • EVASYS individual course feedback
  • 1:1 formal or informal meetings with staff
  • Lecture/Seminar/Tutorial discussions
  • SSLC Collective feedback on overall programme and student experience. The SRC trains and supports student representatives from Programme and School Representatives. All students can share feedback with relevant student representatives or raise issues.
  • School of Education L&T Committee student representation
  • For University-wide channels, please see
  • SRC Focus groups
  • The Student Teaching Awards (STAs), hosted by the SRC are an opportunity to highlight practice that can inspire change in other courses or programmes.  Several UG/ITE teaching staff have previously been nominated and awarded an STA.
