- Mark Peart obtained funding from the University of Extremadura (Spain) for a one-month research visit. Also, exploring wider partnership opportunities between institutions.
- Mark Peart has been appointed as a SoTL Ethics Reviewer
- Professor Sarah Anderson has been appointed as the external examiner for the University of Galway School of Education
October 2025 - January 2026
- On January 19 2026, the PPF RTG underwent a change through the School Education governance project. The Research and Teaching Group is now focused on the areas of intellectual activity in Teacher Education.
- Dr. Utkun Aydin took on the role of Co-Leader for Quality Enhancement and Assessment, jointly with Elizabeth Black (ESPC), in October 2025.
- Dr. Utkun Aydin was appointed Co-Convener of the Open Lectures in Educational Research Methods, jointly with Jack Lee (HEWS), in October 2025.
- The RTG welcomed Fulbright Distinguished Teacher, Fio Lazarte, to the School of Education for a six-month projected focused on mentoring of new teachers and teacher retention.
