Our proposal for a panel at the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES) 2021 has been accepted.

We are pleased that our proposal for a panel at the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES) 2021 has been accepted. It is entitled, Local challenges, global imperatives: Cities at the forefront to achieve SDG 4, and involves the Centre for Sustainable Healthy Learning Cities and Neighbourhoods in collaboration with the International Institute for Educational Planning (IIEP) UNESCO and the UNESCO Institute for lifelong learning (UIL),.

It is very pleasing to have an input from our SHLC colleagues in Kigali.

This panel builds on existing co-operation from both the PASCAL Observatory and SHLC with both UNESCO Institutes. In the new year we will announce a new collaboration with IIEP that will involve the study of role of education in urban planning in cities in Bangladesh, the Philippines and Rwanda, supported by SHLC’s Capacity Development Acceleration Fund.
