Dr Christine McKee and Mark Breslin published in the Scottish Educational Review entitled ‘Whose Responsibility is it anyway? Pupil Mental Health in a Scottish Secondary School’ in Sept 2022. The pilot project discussed in the article looked at the extent to which secondary teachers feel confident to deal with the many and varied mental health issues which their pupils present with. It explores the potential gap between the responsibilities that are assigned to Scottish secondary teachers and the responsibilities they assume.
