Dr Paul Lynch, speaking at “Building back better: Digital accessibility as a tool to support inclusive education”

We are delighted to announced that Dr Paul Lynch, Senior Lecturer in Educational Studies, will be one of the speakers at “Building back better: Digital accessibility as a tool to support inclusive education”, a side event to the Conference of States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) to be held on 17 June 2021 at 2000 BST (1500 EST).
We are delighted to announced that Dr Paul Lynch, Senior Lecturer in Educational Studies, will be one of the speakers at “Building back better: Digital accessibility as a tool to support inclusive education”, a side event to the Conference of States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) to be held on 17 June 2021 at 2000 BST (1500 EST). This event is being sponsored by UNICEF, the Global Partnership for Education, the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. Dr Lynch who is an expert in children and disability, with a particular focus on the global south, will present an overview of challenges and role of digital accessibility as a possible tool to leverage inclusive education. He argues ‘EdTech must address fundamental issues of equity and support effective inclusion for all, but it is also important to consider the complexity of meeting an individual’s requirements with regard to achieving the right match with the individual’.
