is a research student in English at the University of Liverpool.

IAN DONALDSON
is Regius Professor of English Language and Literature at the University of Edinburgh. His books include The World Upside Down (Oxford, 1970) and The Rapes of Lucrece (Oxford, 1982), and he is currently writing a biography of Ben Jonson.

JOHN JOWETT
lectures in English Literature at the University of Glasgow.

RODERICK J LYALL
is Professor of Scottish Literature at the University of Glasgow.

R.W. MASLEN
lectures in English Literature at the University of Glasgow. He has taught at Christ Church, Oxford, Royal Holloway and Bedford New College, London, and Exeter University. His is presently completing a book about Elizabethan prose fiction.

DREW MILNE
lectures in English at the University of Sussex. He is currently revising his doctoral thesis, A Critique of the Philosophy of Modern Theatre for publication as a book, and editing a reader on with Terry Eagleton. His collection of poems Satyrs and Mephitic Angels was published this year by Equipage; and he co-edits the journal Parataxis: modernism and modern writing, with Simon Jarvis.
