Chemistry Outreach Group
Welcome to the Chemistry Outreach Group at the University of Glasgow's School of Chemistry.
Our group is dedicated to engaging with schools, students, and the wider community to share our passion for chemistry and inspire the next generation of scientists.
We run a variety of events throughout the year and offer a range of free resources for teachers, pupils, and prospective students. Whether you're looking to bring exciting chemistry activities into your classroom or find out what it's like to study chemistry at university, we’re here to help.
In the sections below, you’ll find:
- Events – Details of upcoming outreach activities, workshops, and public engagement opportunities.
- Resources – A growing library of downloadable materials including teaching aids, experiments, and information about studying chemistry at Glasgow.
We’ve also developed a Chemistry at Glasgow app, created by a Computing Science student, which answers many of the common questions we receive at Open Day. It’s a great tool for anyone considering studying chemistry here.
If you're a teacher, student, or simply curious about chemistry, we hope you’ll find something useful – and we’d love to hear from you if you’d like to collaborate.
