Mark Banks (with Justin O’Connor, UniSA) has edited a special issue of the journal Cultural Trends, published in February. ‘Art and Culture in the Viral Emergency’ is a collection of articles written in summer 2020, examining different international cultural policy responses to the COVID-19 pandemic. Papers from UK, Argentina, Australia, China, Germany and South Africa, assess the immediate impacts of the viral lockdown on professional arts and culture.
