CCPR and CREATe hosted the third and final RSE-funded workshops exploring current international policies and practices in film and screen commissioning and funding.

CCPR and CREATe hosted the third and final RSE-funded workshops exploring current international policies and practices in film and screen commissioning and funding. The event brought together a lively panel of academics from University of Glasgow and University of Copenhagen, and industry professionals from The Danish Film Institute, The Swedish Film Institute, the Norwegian Film Institute and Creative Scotland to exchange views on contemporary issues and challenges in co-production and international screen collaborations. The event was organised by PI Dr Inge Sørensen and funded by a RSE workshops grant.

The workshops series concluded with an industry-facing panel discussion, also called Commissioning Creativity and Funding Film, at Glasgow Film Festival Industry Days. Here, 60 industry professionals joined screen funders and academics in a discussion about the common challenges facing screen funding in smaller Northern European countries today. This panel discussion was organised in collaboration with GFF Industry Days and funded by a University of Glasgow ESRC Impact Acceleration Award.
