CCPR’s workshop on ‘Public Service and the Impacts of Digitisation’ (Public Service programme) brought some key speakers to Glasgow. Professors Richard Collins (Open University), Peter Humphreys (Manchester University) and Sylvia Harvey (Leeds University) variously addressed the current policy issues thrown up for public service media and communications by the digital revolution. The invitation-only seminar brought together participants from academia, the Scottish Government, Ofcom Scotland, and the BBC in a lively and intense discussion. The event was part of the fellowship programme funded by the Basque Government and was introduced by Professor Juan Carlos Miguel de Bustos of the University of the Basque Country.
