Biography
Yanru Zou joined the University of Glasgow Adam Smith Business School as a Lecturer in Accounting, Tax and Audit in 2019. She is particularly interested in interdisciplinary accounting research and using anthropological approach to study accounting practice. She graduated from University of Glasgow with PhD in Accounting, and from the London School of Economics with an MSc in Accounting, Organisations and Institutions. Before commencing her academic career, she worked as a tax consultant in International Taxation in Deloitte.

Yanru is interested in co-supervising projects examining:
- Gender and accountancy profession
- Care, accounting and accountability
- Accounting education
In particular, Yanru would be interested in supervising students using an anthropological approach to study accounting/audit as a practice.
