Professor V. Kumar leads two-day marketing research workshop

The Marketing Research Cluster welcomed the Distinguished Chair in Marketing from Georgia State University on 28-29 September 2017.

‌The Marketing Research Cluster welcomed Professor V. Kumar as part of a two-day interactive development workshop on 28-29 September 2017.

Professor Kumar, Distinguished Chair and Professor of Marketing at Georgia State University and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Marketing, delivered two lectures during his visit to Adam Smith Business School.

The first lecture centred around emerging topics in marketing research, while the second focused on how to publish in top marketing journals. Dr Kalliopi Chatzipanagiotou, Marketing Cluster Alternate, noted: “Professor Kumar's lecture on how to improve the rigor and relevance of academic research and publish in top-tier journals was a valuable lesson for all of us and especially our PhD researchers.”

The event programme also comprised a mixture of staff and doctoral researchers’ presentations. Over the course of two days, three academic staff and nine doctoral researchers presented their research and received valuable feedback from Professor Kumar and audience members. Presenters included:
