“Hailing from a trading background, I pursued academia after work. That transition always helped me to approach academia in a realistic way and finds me curious at points where diverse disciplines complement to study reality. After finishing my bachelor’s studies in Psychology, I was in quest for a programme that explores human behaviour at a dynamic perspective. That is when I came across the master’s programme in behavioural science at University of Glasgow. I was particularly drawn to this programme for its intersection of psychology, economics, and neuroscience. I was glad to have the opportunity to work and discuss with a diverse cohort whilst meeting brilliant people. Apart from academics, I like watch to movies, living in new environment and enjoy having conversations with profound ideas.”

What did you enjoy the most about your programme?

The best part of the programme I enjoyed most was being around a brilliant cohort and classrooms where lecturers discussed views and perspectives with students. That participation shed great exposure to knowledge.

How has your degree helped you in your career?

On a personal level, I will say it has helped to refine my thought process about the idea of a career and bringing more mindfulness about the satisfaction level.

What have you been up to since graduating from the Business School?

Shortly after graduating I started exploring the UK, moved to Edinburgh, then Nottingham. As a stint, I took a chance to work as a behavioural support worker, that provided opportunity to apply and validate the behavioural science learnt in a healthcare setting.

What was the most important thing you learnt while studying at Glasgow?

I would definitely say to have gained more resilience in pursuing dreams and goals irrespective of the demographics. Being exposed to different people from diverse backgrounds gave tremendous insight to my journey and self-confidence.

What is your top piece of advice for current students - our future alumni?

Definitely make use of the scholarship of the wonderful academicians at the University. Equally, the fellow students in classrooms and campus who all come a long way in their journey with unique experience to be a part at the University of Glasgow.

Tell us your fondest memory of the Business School.

Witnessing the campus and school in the nightlight, as I find them graceful of where the beauty of classic architecture meets modern convenience.
