LitFest 2018 in Harare, Zimbabwe
Over the next few days our Affiliate Artist Chirikure Chirikure will transform the Nexus at B2C and the Theatre in the Park in Harare, Zimbabwe, into a carnival of literature. The 5th edition of LitFest will kick off tomorrow evening at 6pm local time, with a performance by Zimbabwe Theatre Academy and JESA.
Artist in Residence Tawona Sitholé and Professor Alison Phipps will be there to present their book The Warriors Who Do Not Fight and to talk about the work of the UNESCO Chair team.
Their visit is part of a larger project, funded by the Global Challenges Research Fund, which aims to develop multilingual entrepreneurship capacity for the creative and cultural economy in Zimbabwe, as well as to disseminate outputs from previous Arts and Humanities Research Council funded grants.
