Networking Meetings takeaways

The Centre for Sustainable Solutions hosts a regular networking meeting to engage with colleagues, and to facilitate networking opportunities across all colleges and services within the University. The aim of the meetings is to help build internal networks and share resources and best practice across the institute.

Each meeting will have three key takeaways, which are posted on this page.

Meeting held on 4 May 2023

  • The University’s Information Services team is working to reduce carbon output by: reducing the number of devices issued per user, choosing laptop models with increased recycled components, and choosing low carbon delivery options
  • Devices are redeployed where practical
  • The Audio Visual team are investing in energy efficient equipment, i.e. rechargeable batteries, laser projectors and rechargeable microphones
