Institut d'études supérieures des arts (IESA)

At IESA Arts and Culture, Paris, in S2, education methods combine the critical study of works of art with the acquisition of practical skills for EMJM students interested in either of the two Study Tracks: ‘Collecting in Art & Cultural Heritage’ or ‘Managing the Cultural Heritage of the Future’. Graduate programs at IESA Arts and Culture in Art Business in English are organised according to five study tracks: Art and Cultural Management, Art and Luxury Management, Collecting, Contemporary Art, and Performing Arts. For its MBAs, IESA Arts and Culture offers courses in art markets (both French and international), art history, marketing and digital marketing, art management (collecting, curating, selling and purchasing), cultural heritage management, and art administration.

These topics are taught by experts in these sectors, allowing students to build attractive networking possibilities. Each programmme also includes an internship that requires a professional group project that involves all aspects of cultural management (creation, financing, organization, public display and delivery). This project is defended before a professional exam board and is mandatory to obtain the IESA Arts and Culture national degree (Expert/e en commercialisation et en diffusion d’oeuvres d’art). Art management is a real practice at IESA Arts and Culture premises where a ground-floor room is dedicated to temporary exhibitions organized by the students themselves. S2 is also when students access the new UoG (specifically designed for MAGMa) online IRMA course, team delivered by all the CPs. It aims to draw together the wide range of methodological approaches that the students will encounter in the EMJM, presented in a comprehensive and cohesive manner.
