Energy
We are partnering with a number of industries across the energy sector to engage in a wide variety of research projects of mutual interest.
These projects include, for example, the use of digital twins and data-driven fluid mechanics to develop solutions for the optimisation of hydrogen storage, battery storage, solar and wind power generation and transport, as well as enhanced oil recovery. These processes are frequently hindered by safety and efficiency concerns, many of which can be offset by developing digital twins for the prediction and identification of issues in real time and for optimising efficiency, potentially making such new technologies a feasible and safe alternative to traditional methods.
