Research title: Sediment transport of made ground along Scottish sites
Research Summary
My research is to broaden the existing classification of beaches by introducing a new kind of anthropogenic mixed beach in terms of their grain size characterisations, sediment compositions, morphological features, and how they will behave under climate change. I picked up 3 beaches in Scotland and used multi-method approaches to determine the grain size distributions and percentage weight of anthropogenic sediments, and determined their morphological features using DTM collected through repeated UAV surveys. In the future, I will focus on figuring out how these beaches change through time.
