Research title: Localisation of EU Peacebuilding: Rethinking Development for Sustainable Peace – A Comparative Analysis of Northern Ireland, Cyprus, and Kosovo.
Research Summary
The research explores how local actors engage with, contest, and reshape EU development-led peacebuilding interventions. With the help of comparative analysis as my methodology among case studies, I examine how grassroots agency influences international peace efforts' long-term effectiveness and sustainability. This work contributes to debates on conflict transformation & peacebuilding, the local turn in peacebuilding, and the EU’s global role.
This project aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 16) - Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.
