Research title: Interrogating the response to early infection of Plasmodium falciparum in highly divergent Anopheles species

Research Summary

Research interests

My research interests are focused on transmission dynamics of the human malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum in a diverse range of vector species. My work studies the interaction between parasite and vector, their global diversity and co-evolution. Specifically I am currently working on ellucidating the influence of vector heterogenicity and parasite genotype on transmission of malaria.

Research groups

I am currently undertaking a PhD within the Howick Lab. My supervisors are Virginia Howick and Francesco Baldini.
