Research title: Diaspora Living Heritage and Identity Formation: A Case Study of the Chinese Community in Glasgow

Research summary

I am a PhD researcher at the University of Glasgow and an arts practitioner focusing on intangible cultural heritage (ICH) education within multicultural contexts. My research aims to explore how Chinese diaspora communities in Glasgow engage with living heritage and how can materials, people, space, time and emotional response contribute to the living heritage role in migration.

My broader research interests include community participation in heritage and museums; creativity and interdisciplinarity in arts and humanities education; artistic research; practice-based and practice-as-research methodologies; and the intersections of art education and sociocultural anthropology.
