Ph.D. candidate/ Photographer/ Visual Artist
(b.1996) China-born Photographer, based in Glasgow, now doing her Ph.D. study at the University of Glasgow.Previously, she has received two master’s degrees in Modern and Contemporary Art: History, Curating and Critism and Comparative Literature and World Literature in the University of Edinburgh and East China Normal University respectively.
The project for her Ph. D. is about photography, literature and memory writing. By examining their works and relevant archives, the intention is to investigate how complex cultural discourse systems (including politics, emotion, power, cultural identities, and post-colonialism) behind these text-image narrations. She also plans to launch online exhibitions to present her research results.
