Research title: Algorithmic innovation and value capture in digital ventures
Research Summary
Hakan's doctoral research focuses on value creation in algorithmic world. His work adopts a critical socio-technical stance that rejects both the technological determinism and constructivism. He aims to share and exchange knowledge, focusing on interdisciplinary collaborations that address critical social perspectives on algorithmic technologies and the challenges of algorithmic futures.
Prior to joining the University of Glasgow, he worked as a Research Assistant at Ozyegin University. He holds an MSc from the Middle East Technical University, in the field of science and technology policy studies. His doctoral studies are funded by a highly competitive scholarship from University of Glasgow.
