Research title: Adapting Nonverbal Communication Dynamics to Human-Robot Social Interaction

Research Summary

My research focus is in social robotics and cognitive developmental robotics. I am currently working on Adapting Nonverbal Communication Dynamics to Human-Robot Social Interaction. My long-term research goal is the development of an emotional expression system for both verbal and non-verbal communication. My approach to this problem is an embodied learning approach, in which language and gesture scaffold each other during the developmental phase.
