Research title: COMBINING PARTIAL ENTERAL NUTRITION WITH BIOLOGICS TO OPTIMISE INDUCTION AND MAINTENANCE THERAPY FOR ADULTS WITH ACTIVE ILEOCOLONIC CROHN’S DISEASE.
Research Summary
My research investigates the impact of using nutritional therapy alongside standard therapy with biologics in the induction and maintenance of remission of Crohn's disease. Further to this, I am exploring the underlying mechanistics of this therapy combination through investigating the gut microbiota composition and function in subsets of Crohn's disease patients and healthy volunteers.
