Research title: Reducing the uncertainty on rock thermo-physical properties to de-risk geothermal engineering applications
Research Summary
As a geologist by background, I am intrested in the role of earth sciences in sustainable energy, in particular geothermal energy.
As a part of the THERMOCAL research team my current reaseach focusses of de-risking geothermal developments in Caledonian rocks across Scotland, Norway and Northern Ireland.
Previous published research has utilised hydrogeolical modelling and structural field mapping in Hot Sedimentary Aquifer settings.
