Research title: ‘Make do and mend’ to ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’: Attitudes towards Clothing Production and Consumption in Postwar Britain

Research Summary

My research explores attitudes towards clothing consumption and production in Britain since 1945. In particular, it looks at how many of the practices championed in sustainability and zero-waste conversations are revivals or adaptations of historical traditions.
