Historical Perspectives

Who are we?

Historical Perspectives is a cross-disciplinary network run by and for postgraduates, fostering discussion on any research approached through a historical lens.

Whatever period, genre, or methodology, we’re interested in exploring all of history’s nooks and crannies. Take a look at what previous students have contributed.

What do we do?

In the past, our activities have included hosting monthly seminars, encouraging students to contribute to our blog, curating a two-day conference in the summer, and even running workshops designed to help PGT students take on their dissertations. In 2022/23, we are running a themed talk series 'Reject Tradition, Embrace Modernity'. View our call for paper (still active for Semester Two!) here.
