Cycling Security Event at Dumfries Campus

Come along to our free Cycling Security Event!​

Rutherford McCowan Building, Veranda

What?​

​We will be offering the following -

  • Bike Security Marking​

Our security colleagues will mark bicycles using BikeRegister.

  • Dr Bike (minor repairs and adjustments)

Our friends from Bike for Good Glasgow offer their services to check over bicycles and do minor repairs and adjustments. ​

  • Locks, lights, high-viz for winter cycling

We hand out equipment to keep your bike safe and improve visibility.​

  • Guided bike ride on low-traffic routes

Starting at 13:00, till about 13:45. Meet at the Rutherford McCowan Building, Main Entrance.

Staff can learn more about how to take part and about the new spend limits.

  • Chat to other cyclists, Dumfries Police and the University Security team

The Police will be present for safety advice and our Security Team will give information about the SafeZone app.​

No registration needed, just turn up and bring your bicycle. ​
