To allow for essential works, Glasgow City Council will be implementing traffic restrictions on University Avenue and Gibson Street from Saturday 21 June to Tuesday 24 June (inclusive).

Over this weekend, University Avenue will be closed to vehicles. Access to Pearce Lodge Gate will be maintained by the contractors during the works and access will be available via local diversions, best accessed from Byres Road.

From Monday, we expect one carriageway to be reopened with a contraflow system in place. While University Avenue will be accessible, please expect delays, particularly at peak times. The works may also affect bus routes to and from University Avenue, so please check with your travel operator.

Pedestrian access along University Avenue and Gibson Street will be maintained throughout, as will vehicular access via Pearce Lodge.
