Due to the conflict between Israel and Iran, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) has updated its travel advice, advising against all travel to parts of the region. 

We appreciate this may be a worrying time for students and colleagues, particularly those with family or friends in affected areas, and we are working to ensure that members of our community are supported. Any colleague or student affected by crisis or conflict can find support and resources on the University’s Humanitarian crisis and conflict response webpages.  

Colleagues who are travelling through the University’s travel provider will receive updates advising on any necessary revisions to plans and to assist with alternative arrangements as required. Find out more on our Policy for Business and Study Travel.

Colleagues and students who are travelling can use the SafeZone app to alert the University’s Security team in the event of an emergency and share your location, whether in the UK or abroad. Download SafeZone here.
