This is a salary sacrifice scheme which provides an Income tax and National Insurance efficient way to pay towards the hire of a bicycle (and associated safety equipment) for 12 months.

The University of Glasgow provides staff with an interest free transport loan for purchasing an annual rail pass or SPT Zonecard which is then paid back in 10 equal deductions from your salary.

The University of Glasgow in partnership with First Bus Glasgow, provide staff with discounted bus travel in Glasgow and its surrounding areas.

Free OVO (Powered by Nextbike) Membership
As an UoG employee, you can benefit from saving the annual subscription fees for the use of standard OVO bikes from more than 100 hire stations in Glasgow.
As part of the University's Travel Planning process, OVO bikes are being made available for staff who want to cycle to and from the University, during the day between University locations and for leisure purposes. This compliments the University's efforts to support and encourage cycling as a sustainable and active means to travel.
Please note, this offer does NOT include the use of e-hire-bikes and that there is a separate pricing structure for their use.
