About the Peer Review College
Peer review is an excellent development opportunity as well as demonstrating collegiality. In the Strategic Research Initiatives (SRI) team, we manage an institution-wide Peer Review College that we can use to form reviewer cohorts and panels to support more transparent, robust, and inclusive internal selection processes. We also draw on the Peer Review College to provide formative feedback on applications to specific funding schemes.
Our Peer Review College is comprised of colleagues from across UofG, who applied to a previous open call for reviewers. We are now reviewing the membership spread across disciplines and funders, and identifying where additional reviewers are most needed. Calls for reviewers in 2026-27 will therefore be targeted at particular areas, rather than open calls.
Can I use the PRC for my application?
If you are a UofG staff member and would like to know whether we could arrange additional peer review for a specific funding scheme, please contact us as early as possible. Please note we are unlikely to be able to accommodate last minute requests.
