Laptop Loan Scheme

Laptop Loan Scheme

In addition to on-campus IT facilities and services, the University of Glasgow offers assistance to students who require laptops for their studies. Laptops are available for long-term loan upon request, to be returned by the end of the academic year if no longer needed.

How to Apply

If you're a UK student and purchasing a laptop is currently not feasible, you have the option to apply for the Discretionary Fund to help cover living costs. Simultaneously, you can request a laptop through our Laptop Loan Scheme.

There's no need to wait for your Discretionary Fund application outcome before applying for a laptop. If you've received funding from the Discretionary or Hardship Fund before, you can request a laptop directly through the Laptop Loan Scheme. We also encourage you to reapply for further financial assistance if needed.

For our EU and International students, if purchasing a laptop is currently challenging, you can request one through our Laptop Loan Scheme. Additionally, if you're facing difficulties meeting basic living costs, our Hardship Fund offers emergency support to eligible students.

Your education is important to us, and we're here to support you in any way we can.
