Explorathon 2023

‌Proposals are opening soon for this year's festival, which will take over the ARC on 16 & 17 September (as part of Doors Open Day) and 22 & 23 September (overlapping with the September weekend).

We are seeking table-top activities, displays and workshops for the programme.

E‌xplorathon 2022

Explorathon went ahead in 2022 with funding from the UKRI's Guarantee Fund. Explorathon events were funded as part of ARCadia in the new Advanced Research Centre. A huge thanks to everyone who got involved.

We are delighted that the University of Glasgow participated in Explorathon 2021, together with universities across Scotland and Europe, as part of European Researchers' Night.

Explorathon 2020

Thanks to everyone who took part in Explorathon 2020! We were delighted to collaborate with universities from across Scotland as part of European Researchers' Night. We had >4,700 participants from across the world take part in our online programme.

Previous Explorathons

In 2019 over 200 University of Glasgow staff and students took part (an Explorathon record!), engaging over 11,000 people with research. Watch a video below.
