Pint of Science returns

The biggest Pint of Science yet, with 21 events across the city featuring UofG researchers

After a long hiatus due to the pandemic, the Pint of Science festival is back in the real world, and with 21 events in 8 venues across the city, this year’s festival is set to be the biggest yet!

Being brought to us mostly by University of Glasgow researchers, these events give a unique insight into the brilliant work being done in our community. It also allows the wider Glasgow public to engage with the fantastic research we do here in a relaxed and inviting setting.

A Pint of Science night has researchers presenting their work in an accessible and interactive format, covering topics as far-reaching as the cosmos, to the human mind, to where we are (and are heading) as a society! As well as our main events every night from the 9 to the 11 of May, we also have a showcase of art pieces inspired by pairing local young artists with researchers in our Creative Reactions night (on the 12th at the Pipe Factory). Please check out this year’s events at the link and consider heading to any night(s) that pique you’re scientific curiosity!

Pint of Science is a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving scientific outreach and promoting scientific literacy. The Pint of Science festival runs in early May each year, with events across the globe. All tickets are £5, with all proceeds going to continuing the organisations mission of promoting local science to the local community.
