Positive result for Glasgow in latest QS World University Rankings

The University of Glasgow has ranked 81st in the world in the 2023 QS World University Rankings, it was announced this week.

These results again put the University within the top 100 institutions worldwide and in the leading 6% of the 1,422 universities which make up the rankings.

The latest QS results show that our Academic Reputation continues to improve, with Glasgow now 8th in the UK and 77th in the World. Our International Students score also continues to rise to 47th in the World and 19th in the UK.

Professor Sir Anton Muscatelli, Principal and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Glasgow, said: “I am pleased to note the University of Glasgow once again placing well within the world’s top 100 institutions by the QS World University Rankings.

“Despite increased competition across the sector, these results further cement our reputation as delivering world-class teaching and research and they offer a real mark of distinction on a global scale.

“Of course, our successes as a collective are always underpinned by hard work from colleagues across the organisation, I’d like to thank everyone for their efforts and dedication.”
