UofG volunteers needed for ARCadia

Published: 28 July 2022

Our public festival to celebrate the opening of the ARC needs UofG volunteers.

Want to help engage the public with the University? We need UofG volunteers to support ARCadia, our two-week festival that will celebrate the public opening of the ARC (Advanced Research Centre).

ARCadia is happening from 16th to 30th September 2022 and has a diverse programme of events for families, schools and adults.

We are seeking UofG student and staff volunteers from across the University community to help make ARCadia a welcoming festival for everyone.

Volunteer tasks may include: front-of-house, event setup/tear down assistance, welcoming attendees, checking guestlists, distributing evaluation forms, directing school groups and generally providing a friendly face for everyone who comes through the doors.

Each volunteer shift will be a minimum of 3 hours long. Refreshments will be provided. As a thank you, all volunteers will receive a £15 Etsy voucher for each shift completed, and an invitation to our wrap party.

Volunteers will be required to attend an Induction session on either Tuesday 6th September 11:00-12:00, or Wednesday 7th September 18:00-19:00. If you are interested in volunteering, please complete the ARCadia Volunteer Application Form with your contact details and availability by the end of 19th August 2022.

Please note that this volunteering opportunity is only open to University of Glasgow staff and students.
