All colleague pulse survey to launch this month

Published: 21 July 2021

Pulse survey will allow all colleagues to feed back on their experiences working at the University

As part of our commitment to ensure everyone feels valued, heard and has the opportunity to provide feedback, the University is launching a new colleague engagement survey later this month, and it’s more important than ever that you share your views with us.

Our new Pulse Survey…

Traditionally, we have gathered feedback every two years through our staff survey; however, University’s Senior Management Team has agreed to move to a more focussed feedback cycle, which will allow us to better review and measure the impact of our actions on an ongoing basis.

We will therefore run two shorter, focussed pulse surveys each year that will allow us to be more responsive to colleagues’ rapidly changing needs and concerns.

How will it work?

The survey will be run by People Insight, an independent company specialising in employee engagement and feedback.  This will ensure that the data collected from the survey remains anonymous and the University will not be given access to the raw data or any individual questionnaires.

You will receive an email directly from People Insight on Monday 26 July with your individual link to the survey. The survey generally seeks a ‘cross in the box’ answer and should only take around 10 minutes to complete.  At the end of the survey, you will find space to make free text comments on your positive and negative experiences of working at UofG.

For colleagues without access to a computer in their day-to-day roles, look out for the posters on-campus which contain a QR code that you can scan with a mobile device.

The survey will be open from Monday 26 July until Friday 27 August 2021.

Once the results have been analysed, we will share them with you. The University’s Senior Management Group will take stock of the findings and then explain how the University will respond to what you have told us.

The success of the survey depends on all of us.  We are at a pivotal point in the way we work at the University, and this is your chance to inform our future direction. So, we encourage you to play your part and complete the survey link when you receive it.
