Knowledge Exchange Awards 2016

Applications are now open for the University’s first Knowledge Exchange Awards.

The University of Glasgow Knowledge Exchange Awards are designed to recognise and celebrate the process of exchanging knowledge, expertise, and intellectual assets beyond the boundaries of the University for the wider benefit of the economy and society, through two-way engagement with business, the public sector and community partners.

Award categories

  • Business Engagement Award
    Presented to the academic/academic team who have made an outstanding contribution to knowledge exchange, knowledge transfer or commercialisation activities that have had a significant impact on a business or group of businesses and/or the economy.
  • Societal Engagement Award
    Presented to the academic/academic team who have made an outstanding contribution to knowledge exchange, knowledge transfer or collaborative activities that have had a significant impact on society and/or contribution to policy. This includes health, well-being and cultural sectors/areas/knowledge base. 
  • International KE Award
    Presented to the academic/academic team who have made an outstanding contribution to knowledge exchange, knowledge transfer or collaborative activities that have had a significant impact outside of the UK.

Deadline for applications

4pm on Wednesday 28th September 2016

The award

Each winner will receive a non-pay award of £1,000 to be spent on knowledge-exchange activities or related professional development. For team submissions the award will go to the nominated project lead.

Winners will be announced at the annual Knowledge Exchange conference on 6 October.

Eligibility

The awards are available to all employed on University of Glagow Research and Teaching Contracts. Any group or individual will only be eligible to receive one KE award during any three year period.
