GUEST and the SRC will be holding the Student and Staff Environmental Consultation Forum on 22 January, writes Carmen Paputa Dutu, GUEST Coordinator

This is as an opportunity for everyone to have their say on the environmental practices in the University of Glasgow and the services provided on campus on a day to day basis.

As one of the main university’s environmental sustainability teams we are going to present our past and future work. This will be followed by a short talk delivered by the University’s Carbon Officer Stewart Miller, introducing his work on comparing environmental performances in different universities and preparing a sustainability strategy for our campus.

Stewart has been working on this over the past few months, consulting with many relevant people, in order to present his proposal of changes to the university. Thus everyone’s thoughts and ideas are greatly appreciated.

Furthermore, we will have small discussion groups on the different issues that GUEST is currently working on. This will include Biodiversity, Waste Management and Recycling, Food and Transport - services that are used by students and staff every day and we would love to hear your experiences and feedback on them.

Be a part of a change you want to see: come along and give your input on our future work; our promoters will highly value your ideas and will help take them further.

Come along to event on the 22 January, from 3-5pm in Williams Room, John McIntyre (SRC) building.

We are looking forward to hear from you!
