The University of Glasgow has achieved the Volunteer Friendly Award for its development and running of the University Services Volunteering Scheme.

The University began the pilot scheme in June 2014 and it has been running events since then for staff in University Services who are interested in volunteering for one of the partner organisations, TCV, Cornerstone and Quarriers.

The Volunteer Friendly Award is a simple, user-friendly quality standard designed by Volunteer Centre Dundee to support, recognise and reward groups who are good at involving volunteers.

It is now a National scheme, supported by Volunteer Glasgow.
