IT Training for staff: new enrolment procedure

From 12 April 2016, staff who require T4 training will enrol via Core. Find out more about the changes and IT Training on offer.

From 12 April  2016, staff who require T4 training will enrol via Core. Instructions will be provided on the IT Training website from that date. From the start of the next academic session staff enrolment for all IT courses will take place through Core. To enrol follow the steps below:

  • Visit the IT Training page for details of the IT training available
  • Find the course you require and note the title
  • Log in to Core
  • Type the course title into the Search box in Core Training
  • Book your course

IT services have a range of video and moodle-based guides covering MS Office packages as well as an introduction to using SupportWorks

Operating systems & programming courses

The range of courses on offer have been extended. These now cover:

  • Introduction to MatLab
  • Introduction to PERL programming
  • Visual Basic Programming in Excel
  • Introduction to Gnu/Linux using Debian distributio

A range of training and support for those writing a Thesis or Dissertationare also on offer, including:

  • Using Word to Prepare a Short Dissertation (2 x 2 hour course)
  • Using Word to Prepare your Thesis (2 half-days course)
  • Thesis and Dissertation Workshops (half-day troubleshooting session)
