While our skills language includes around 250 skills, we’ve created in-depth profiles for some of the skills students most commonly want to understand and talk about:
Cognition
Cognitive skills are the fundamental abilities of your brain and are demonstrated through thinking, learning, attention, memory, reasoning, and problem-solving. These are essential skills in any workplace: they help you interpret and process data, remember important information, and handle whatever challenges the position might throw at you. Demonstrating cognitive skills on your CV or in an interview can make you a stronger candiatate when applying for jobs.

Analysis means breaking down information into smaller parts to understand how they connect and what they mean.
Decision making
Decision-making skills involve evaluating options, considering consequences, and choosing the most effective course of action.

Collection skills refer to the ability to gather data, objectively analyse information, measure quality, make comparisons, and develop evidence-based decisions. These skills are applicable across a wide range of fields and can be an asset for any position.
Digital literacy
Digital literacy is the ability to confidently find, evaluate, create, and communicate information using technology.
