AI Symposium Summary

In December 2023, University of Glasgow hosted an AI Symposium, providing the opportunity to hear learners and staff share their first-hand experiences of the application of AI to learning, teaching, learner support and research.

Individual recordings are highlighted below, along with highlighted tools and resources. Further information can be found on the Learning Innovation Support Unit website.

Next Steps for AI at UofG

EdPSC has created a working group on AI, chaired by Prof. Martin Hendry. This group will provide guidance on the ways in which AI developments are, or are likely to, impact on learning, teaching and assessment in Higher Education.

Aligned with this, a sub-group of A&F Practice and Policy workstream, chaired by Dr. Anthony Devine, will bring together key stakeholders from across the university to coordinate guidance for staff and students on a continuous basis. As such we will be reviewing our current guidance throughout semester 2.
