Print from Mac

Instructions for macOS 10.14 (Mojave) and above

  1. Go to and log in with your GUID and password

  2. Select the Driver Print tab

  3. Under Select your operating system, select Mac

  4. Select Simple Direct 2 > Continue

  5. Select SafeCom Mobile Print

  6. Then follow the on-screen instructions to set up your laptop to print

Instructions for macOS 10.7 (Lion) to 10.13 (High Sierra)

  1. Download

  2. Open the downloaded file

  3. If you get a warning about opening the file, click Open 

  4. If you get a warning that your security settings do not allow opening of the file

    • Go to System Preferences > Security and Privacy

    • At the bottom it will say PrinterInstaller was blocked

    • Click Open anyway, then Open

  5. Enter your GUID and password

  6. Select Pullprint from the list, then click Install

  7. If prompted, enter your Mac password

  8. Once installed press Quit or OK

To check which version of macOS you have, open the Apple menu at top left of screen and choose About this Mac.

Set your printing preferences

By default, your documents will print double-sided in black and white (mono). If you want to print single-sided and/or in colour, you can change the settings each time you send a document to print; the location of these settings depends on the application you are printing from.

Further information

  • You can collect your print jobs from any pull printer on campus.
  • You can collect mono (black and white) jobs from any printer. You will only be charged for a mono print.
  • You must collect colour jobs from a colour printer!
  • When you send a document to print, it will go to your personal document store. You then have up to 72 hours to collect it. After 72 hours the document will be deleted from your store.
  • Printing a document automatically removes it from your personal document store.
