Extended Workforce Policy, Procedures and Guidance

The University of Glasgow is committed to engaging all members of its workforce on the most appropriate contract and to doing this in a fair and transparent way. The University will utilise a range of contractual arrangements, reflecting the fact that in some areas of activity the volume and frequency of work is variable and often unpredictable.

This portal has been designed to support hiring managers to navigate policy, procedure and guidance in the engagement of our extended workforce. In addition to the Extended Workforce Policy, this portal contains specific guidance in relation to Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTAs), Demonstrators and Casual Workers as well as other resources and link relevant to our extended workforce.
