Careers Extra Career Coaching Appointments
As a disabled or widening participation student, you can access longer 60-minute career coaching appointments with a qualified Careers Consultant, providing more time to discuss your career goals, circumstances and any adjustments or support you may need. Career Coaching can help you clarify your career ideas, navigate barriers, develop a plan of action, and build your confidence and skills in finding work or further study.
You can book this appointment if you meet at least one of the following criteria:
- You have a disability, are neurodivergent, or have a long-term physical or mental health condition, whether or not you have a formal diagnosis
- You are a care-experienced or estranged student, student carer, Gypsy, Traveller, Roma, Showman or Boater student, or forced migrant
- You are from a widening participation or underrepresented background, including Scottish students living in SIMD postcode deciles 1-4 and UK students eligible for Free School Meals or means-tested funding
- You are a mature, local or commuter student
- You are the first person in your family to attend university (first-generation student)
All students can also access 45-minute career coaching appointments and the Peer Career Support Service. Peer Career Support is available on a drop-in basis in the Career Studio on Level 2 of the Fraser Building, Monday to Friday, 9:00-16:30 during term time.
