Learning & Teaching Enhancement Review (formerly Annual Monitoring)

Learning & Teaching Enhancement Review is an essential element of the University's Quality Assurance and Quality Enhancement processes which allows Schools, Colleges and the University to:
- ensure that the courses and programmes we deliver meet the expectations of staff and students;
- continually look for opportunities to develop and enhance provision;
- close the feedback loop and ensure that actions and outcomes are reported to colleagues and students.
The process is managed in partnership between Academic Standards & Quality (Senate Office) and the College and School Learning & Teaching Enhancement Officers*
*Previously known as College and School Quality Officers.
The Process
Learning & Teaching Enhancement Review covers the academic delivery of taught courses and programmes on a session by session basis. The process has been amended for the review of the 2019-20 academic session with reporting beginning in the summer of 2020.
Good Practice
Learning & Teaching Enhancement Review is about assuring quality but it's also about ensuring the University is constantly enhancing its provision. A key element of enhancing our practice is learning from each other.
Information on good practice and enhancement that has been identified through the Learning & Teaching Enhancement Review process will be published here once reports become available. This will include summary reports from Academic Standards Committee and information gathered for the Learning & Teaching Enhancement Open meeting planned for January 2021.

Outcomes
Reports from the new Learning & Teaching Enhancement Review process covering academic session 2019-20 will be prepared at the end of teaching, from May 2020, with College LTE Summaries being available here in the autumn of 2020.
