The role of the Academic Collaborations Office (ACO) is to oversee the development and management of the University’s academic collaborations that involve students studying for a University of Glasgow award. These are increasingly in an international context.
- providing guidance and support to University staff on the development of academic collaborations and the enhancement of existing collaborations and partnerships in line with the University’s strategic plan, Glasgow 2020, and associated strategies
- ensuring that arrangements are in place for the effective management of academic collaborations, including procedures for the maintenance of academic standards and the assurance and enhancement of the student learning experience, for all awards issued in the University’s name and delivered in collaboration with a partner
- directly managing the University’s validation arrangements with its four UK-based partners
- liaising with International Deans, College International Leads and College International/Business Development Managers and key University Services (External Relations, PGR Service, Registry, Senate Office) on the development and management of academic collaborations
